Promo Photos OK, I have a couple of promo photos that I use. Do you guys have some? If so, do you use them much when looking for work?
I've sent out a couple when I used to do promo packs (my copywriting agency also produces promo packs for entertainers - discount available to members of this prestigious community ), but when I perform now it is usually from a word of mouth referral.
We have a small selection of postcards which we send out to agents and bookers. Some with our contact details on, some without. Agents like stuff they can send out to their clients that does not have your contact details on, so they can be sure that the booker doesn't go over there heads and contact you directly.
The promo packs sound interesting. Could you let me have some details and prices. Discounts I like especially!
Re: Promo Photos Haven't needed photos cause I haven't started looking for work yet. Maybe soon, in the mean time I'll be getting my head X-rayed next month. Can anyone suggest some blockhead props that'll look really great in an Xray?
I figure it'll be good both for promo and as a pitch.

Re: Promo Photos Defintely something that shows well, but also looks impressive. A nail like your is a classic, but maybe there are a few other interesting things?
Its worth noting that whatever you use for X-Ray pictures, you need to be prepared for the possibility of getting rid of it. I live opposite a doctor and I asked him about where to get an X-ray done. He pointed out that metal objects will soak up all the radiation and that it might be dangerous to keep them around after they have been used for an X-ray. You don't want to be sticking an iradiated nail in your head on a regular basis!
Anyway, he is going to check as he is a doctor, not a radiologist, so doesn't have definate knowledge like that to hand. So it might turn out to be OK to keep the item. Its worth checking out though if you are having this done soon.

I've been waiting till I'm more relaxed with the sword drop so I can do a couple shots of that at the same time.
