My first moment of panic
So, I'm doing my show a couple nights ago, and I bring a volunteer up on stage.
He's wearing glasses, which I need him to take off, so I tell him I'll take them and put them someplace safe.
He hands the glasses to me, and I blockhead the arm. Now, the arms of these glasses aren't totally straight; they curve a little bit around the ear. No problem, I just change the angle as I insert the arm and it slips right in. Great audience reaction.
I finish my bit with the volunteer, and go to give him his glasses back.
I pull on the glasses. They won't move. I try again. Same thing.
"****", I think, "Has anyone ever gotten something stuck doing the blockhead?"
I try pulling one more time, a little harder, and feel the end of the arm press against the front of my throat. Finally remembering that the arm is curved, I pull down on the front of the glasses a little and they slip right out.
I could just imagine this poor guy waiting with me in the ER, wondering why the hell he volunteered in the first place.
