Tales from the midway...
DS - just a thought, how about a place where we can recount tales of performances past & present. You know, where we can share anecdotes about things that went well or disastrously wrong etc?

What I'd like to see as a fixed area is one reporting horror stories, particularly regarding Fire-eating and (shudder) Fire blowing... Since this is an open forum, it would be a good place to let newbies and others know how much danger there is,both minor, major and medical. Anyone who does this stuff for real knows how absurd the phrase, "It won't happen to me" actually is. Sadly also, the clips I see on tv leave the impression that it's all over in a minute, seldom mentioning the months of pain and at least embarrasment that can follow.

Thats a pretty neat idea. However I have had a couple of people comment that there might be a few to many topics here so I would like to see what everyone else thinks before I add any more. Personally I am all for it though.

Count me in as one of those in favour of a horrorific tales section. Nothing hits home harder than first hand tales of when things go wrong.

Great idea IMHO. It's all well and good that we can learn from our own mistakes, but I'd much rather learn from other people's and save myself the embarrassment, pain, ridicule, loss of reputation, injuries, scars, legal fees...
