'Rube' is another name for 'mark' it says that until you have made 50 posts, then you get a different title below your name. It was a little joke aimed at newcomers to the board, not meant to offend at all! If it does offend I will happily change it

Hi Danny
Glad you weren't offended, I wasn't sure.
The list goes like this:
At 1 post you get 'Rube'
At 50 posts you get 'Blockhead'
At 100 you get 'Carny'
At 150 you get 'With it'
At 200 you get 'Sawdust in the blood'
So you are not far off getting blockhead

What are your thoughts about members who spam all the topic threads just to increase rank? Instead of actually speaking mind and writing in depth posts and/or responses, some people (names unmentioned) seem to just spam out little one liners to all threads. It seems to work, but it looks like "cheating". Any thoughts?

Ummm.. I am not sure really, unlike some message boards there is really nothing to be gained by posting lots of one liners, but at the same time I can see that some people might just want to have more posts than others. Though whether thats the reason for the one liners on this board I am not sure. It could be, then again maybe not.
If it bothers you I can put out a request for people to try and avoid one liners unless thats really all they have to say, and they really feel the need to say it. But I feel a little uncomfortable with the assumption that anyone is just spamming for rank, because it might well not be the case.
