Topic Suggestions

I have a 5-7 minute presuasive speech coming up and I can't figure out what to give it on, the only limits my teacher gave are 1. nothing that will make anyone vomit (she had a student give a speech on abortion that was very graphic and someone did throw up) and 2. nothing that will get her fired (just as long as I stay away from advocating the violent overthrow of the government starting with the school that should be covered). Since there aren't really any restrictions I can't really figure out where to start and would appreciate any suggestions.

being the environmentalist that I am...

my first idea is placing the arguement for buying a hybrid car rather than a modern gasoline car
main points:

-more expensive now, but...
-can get a tax break
-pay off in the long run through gas savings b/c of phenomenal gas mileage
-are becoming more popular and plentiful, so cheaper
-along with reduced impact on the environment
-brag rights/karma points from society

there is also alot of information about the comparison through a google search

Thanks for the suggestion but I'm afraid that another restriction that you can't give a speech on the same topic as someone else and some one's already doing a speech supporting alternitive cars. Creationism (both for and against), raising the drinking age to 21, and legalizing marijuana.

heh something else just came to me
argue about the benefits of eating breakfast, there have been lots of studies on that and very few people would argue against it, but not everyone realizes just how important breakfast is
my lil bro lectured me for a lil bit on it
i still rarely eat breakfast

I'm from the US, in Conneticut. I actually live in a rural/suburban town that has the largest casino in the US.
