computer issues
as like most ppl you know online, you also tend to know their computer issues
so let me introduce mine
my wonderful new computer will not connect wirelessly to the internet here at my house in Madison (when i'm not living with Jena, everything works when I live with her)
As my comp Cherry is not at all able to be in the same room or even on the same floor as the router wireless is the most sensible option
I wasted 5 hours today on it and I realized how incapable I am of functioning without an active internet connection at my disposal when my whim dictates...this is creepy. the internet has not existed for even all of my life time and yet now i would sooner go without sleep than internet connection
I need to jack myself into the net, through my spine
Anyone else find themself disturbingly dependant on complex heartless electronics that we nonetheless love?
*sob*

Re: computer issues
If I have a good book, I'll forget about the internet completely. Otherwise I miss it greatly.

Re: computer issues
...so I guess the fact that I'll sit at my computer desk, internet connected, and read a book doesn't help my case any?
Yeah, I can so multitask.

Re: computer issues
no. no you can't. Multitasking is impossible. YOur brain just switches between the tasks rapidly, so your only doing one task at a time. so ha. Also, apples are delicious.

Re: computer issues
*puffs up chest and strikes a pretentious pose* Oh yeah? What about doing one thing that requires a brain and one that doesn't? Like, say, the repetative motions of coloring comic pages while working through plot problems on a completely unrelated project? I admit, it has nothing to do with the internet, but still... *grin*
