Re: winter
Wierd, we're on our way out of winter here, or at least, theoretically. It's warming up, it had gotten down to below 7 degrees, without windchill, last month. Glad you're happy, anyway.

Re: winter
I held out this (admittedly stupid) fleeting hope of a mild winter up until a week or so ago for us. I mean, we've had really cold weather, but not much with the wet/snow. And now? Now we've had 3 severe weather warnings within a week, and so much snow that the chain link fence nextdoor is almost buried. *shakes head in disbelief*
It was just warm enough to be sorta-melting everything yesterday, and I couldn't walk down the street without my pants wicking up every drop of moisture anywhere near me. Good times.

Re: winter
Yeah... things were pretty calm/nice here too... now it's cold again. And snowing. So... so much for that? We did have one week a bit ago that we literally missed all but 1 day of school in the week 'cause of cold and snow and ice twice and because of the pipes bursting because my school didn't insulate them. (Smart ones, they are.)

Re: winter
our snow disappeared when it rained, the fact that there was melting snow, frozen ground and heavy rains caused half (probably an exageration) the roads in my town to flood to the point that they were closed

Re: winter
They were honest to god vacuuming up the water from the sidewalk in front of my school this week. Because it was a giant impassable (sp?) lake. Of course, we've been just back below freezing the past couple days, so now there's minimal snow but the ground is all rock hard and full of ice. *shakes head*
