Only Draws Cute

Jena has claimed a few times around me that she is only capable of drawing things in a cute manner. I silently disagree but still admit that her mind, her style, or both lead to some wonderfully cute pictures.

For example:

the background of this picture I'm not sure of, I was only given shineys to feed the need of the forum. Jena if you could elaborate on this one and it's cuteness?

Ikku also lends herself to cuteness more often than not, though to me there seems a lot of... rabid... joy ... in this one that makes me fear whatever may be on her mind.

Indeed, Miss Jena-chan does draw cute things. I'm inclined to agree with you on the second one, though... it's a bit frightening.

HAHAha! I totally forgot I had given you either of those! I actually can't expound on the first one, 'cuz it was really just an experiment in hairstyles. And the second one. *snickers* The second one is a picture of Ikku I drew for a toothpaste advertisement, single page spread, for one of my graphic design classes in undergrad. Hence the rabid smile: she was flashing her pearly whites for the camera.

Yes, I totally whored out the UC characters for my own nefarious purposes. Constantly. If I stumble across any other such instances, I'll be sure to send them Shannon's way.

I don't blame you for totally whoring out the UC characters. That sounds very wrong, me saying it, but I'm quoting you, more or less. Anyway... I dont' blame you. I mean, they are yours, so you should be able to use them, right? Plus, it's like you're practicing for the comic, too. So... cool. Rock on.

Weeeh, absolved for my sins! I figure it must be okay if Betsy-sama hasn't had a problem with it yet. *grin* I totally used them for my undergraduate newspaper all year, too. *innocent smile*

*sheepish grin* Actually, a couple of them we've used in regular updates. Any of the comics that you see in cross-hatched black and white instead of color? Those were for the school paper. And a bunch of them I just recycled some of our previous punchlines from the comic archives themselves.

I've got a few of them up on DA:
"Government Spy Satellite"
"mock not my incompetence mortal!"
"Volunteering to be your pillow"
"for the greater good"

I'll see if I can find a couple more and pass them Merendi's way for the posting.. and I've got a couple of newer such strips that are completely obscure and probably only funny to those hopeless people attending law school who have lost all sense of reality, but I can totally send those her way as well once I get them scanned (y'know, if you're interested in spite of the probable lack of funny)
