posticon Hi! How do you/we manage it all?

Hi, I'm a new member, a 48 yr old grandma to 4 boys, (6, 4, almost 3, and almost 2), and one precious little girl, (6 months), and mom to 3, two daughters, (26 & 24) and a son, (26). When the kids were growing up I had a private piano studio that I ran out of my house. Sometimes I had between 60 & 70 students each receiving a 1/2 hour lesson each week . . . so teaching time alone was over 30 hours per week, add in all the administrative, planning, etc. & I really worked a LOT of hours. But it allowed me to be home before & after school with my kids & to be involved with their schools, church, & their extracurricular activities as well. Now, I am in the process of starting 2 new businesses. I have to stay as flexible as possible, because my younger daughter is single & has some health problems, so I am extremely involved with helping to raise her 3 children! I love being so involved with them, but I am really looking forward to returning to the "adult" world & actually earning a living. I am going to Atlanta, GA next month for a week-long course to get me on the road to becoming a certified personal chef. And, of course, when it rains, it flows. A life-long friend who is in business for himself approached me with an opportunity to do some business/marketing/hr consulting work for not only his businesses, but for some businesses that belong to his partner as well. Both of these jobs could easily be full-time commitments, but I really am interested in doing both! I have to figure out exactly how to manage my time & still stay flexible for the babies. Please feel free to e-mail me directly if you would like, at mormorlcj@aol.com. "Mormor" is Swedish for mother's mother & is what all my grandkids call me. Kind of fun! Hope to hear from some of you!

Laurie
