Sole Survivor TV Movie 1970
I picked this up on DVD here http://www.montrealfood.com/dvds.html, it was not cheap but I had heard good things about it.

It's a TV movie about the finding of a B25 medium bomber in the Libyan desert 17 years after it crashed in 1943. The story is based on the real B24 "Lady B. Good" that suffered the real fate.

I don't want to give too much of the plot way, but it's more of a mystery/ghost story than it is a WWII story. The cast is superb, being made up of still-famous but frankly has-been actors who's starring roles in the previous decade had dried up. They include: Richard Basehart, William Shatner, Vince Edwards, Patrick Wayne and Laurence Casey.

The DVD I bought as explained by the seller on his website was complied by him for various old VHS copies to bring it up too its full running time. Don't expect top-notch quality, but it's perfectly watchable and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed this old lost classic.

I remeber seeing that movie and it reminded me of the Lady be good story. I liked Richard Basehart in it.
