THE BIG RED ONE (RECONSTRUCTION)
Just bought the DVD Zone 2, what a difference between the old film and the restored one.
I saw the film in 1980 and was more that a bit disappointed, as it seem to have been hacked to death.
The extra's on disc 2 are also excellent.
The restorers have done an excellent job.
There was always the feeling that there was a lot misssing, not now though.
Sam Fuller would be very proud of the restored film.

Re: THE BIG RED ONE (RECONSTRUCTION)
Yes a great addition to any one's WWII DVD collection. Love films by San Fuller , himself of course a real WWII Big Red One veteran of D-Day. The profile of him in the extras is outstanding, if you ever get a chance to get a copy of "Sam Fuller Returns to Normandy" Got it at the Utah Beach Museum, great and he recounts his days in Normandy.
