I saw the film in 1980 and was more that a bit disappointed, as it seem to have been hacked to death. The extra's on disc 2 are also excellent. The restorers have done an excellent job. There was always the feeling that there was a lot misssing, not now though. Sam Fuller would be very proud of the restored film. Love films by San Fuller , himself of course a real WWII Big Red One veteran of D-Day.
