British Film "The Long Days Dying" 1968

Has anyone seen the 1968 British Film, directed by Peter Collison, its about British Paratrooper in the Second World War.
I looked it up on the IMBD.com website and I see its not out on DVD or VHS. Any reviews out there would be helpful and where I might could get a copy of this. Not sure of the plot of the film, I thought it might be set during D-Day in Normandy in 1944. Thanks for any reviews here !

Re: British Film "The Long Days Dying" 1968

Hi!

I have a very good copy of this film. There are very few actors in this film and it was done on a low budget. A small group of British soldiers are behind enemy lines (David Hemmings is the lead actor) in France sometime following the D-Day landing. They encounter a German patrol and if memory serves me correctly capture one of the enemy soldiers. It is mainly a psychological film with lots of talk and little action. Towards the latter part of the film, the British soldiers attempt to get back to their lines. I will not spil the end by saying what happens to each.

Definitely a little bit of an off-beat film. Sometimes enjoyable but sometimes grating on the nerves.

Regards,

Brian
