TCUNC76 Registered user Global user Registered: 02-2005 Posts: 73 Karma: 0 (+0/-0) Reply | Quote 1960's ABC-TV Series "COMBAT"   This past year (2004) has seen the release of the very popular 1960's televison series about US GI's fighting in Europe in WWII. "COMBAT" is now out on DVD and I believe it ran from the fall of 1962 till 1967,with the final shows in color. Many top film stars of the day appeared as guest on the show. Vic Morrow in the role as the tough Sgt Chip Saunders and Rick Jason as Lt Hanley! It has a great website and active board on yahoo. I grew up on this series,along with others such as "The Rat Patrol" "Garrison Gorillas", Tweleve O'Clock High", "The Gallant Men". Really many my age spent watching them with their fathers who had just fought in the war,some twenty years earlier. I was lucky on ebay and a guy sold me all five seasons that he made into dvds of of the action channel. The new DVDs have good extras. I remeber watching this show as a kid.
