Re: where to get, what to get?
Guitar Inn in Sandown is yer best bet. Good deals and let you try anything without hassle. They also have fair stock in now.
S'where I got mine!

The Sandown one is pretty limited tho. Strings in Ryde have great stock all of the time and can always help you out with some guidance

I agree Ian at Strings is the man, very knowledgeable, helpful, and won't rip you off.

Ian at Strings is good, but so is Guitar Inn. I'd go to both. Just stay out of Newport.

Re: where to get, what to get?
As a fellow Music Shop man, albeit in Southsea, I can highly recommend both Ian at Strings and Paul at Music Inn. They both run great shops but you must appreciate that it's very difficult on the Island to operate with huge stocks of equipment. There is just not enough money on the Island to sustain such levels. I'm sure however that, they can order in most things for you in reasonable time (depending on supply from the distributors).
All the best
Steve
