SDF-1 Battle Fortress in Reflex Cannon mode - Macross Saga
Let's talk about one of my favorite animes of all time, Robotech. Robotech is a story with 3 parts (or generations)that center around military life and pursuits which was brought upon humans by the arrival of the space battle fortress. The fortress crash landed on Earth. The crash site was on Macross Island. The military investigated the downed space craft and found it amazingly intact for the most part. Work directed at salvaging the immense spaceship was underway and during the course of time, the fortress was reconditioned and modified to allow human occupancy and piloting. Unbeknown to the humans, the Zentreadi were heading to Earth on the trail of the mysterious ship. This ship carried within it the meaning and origin of Robotech. Robotech being a science evolving around the significance of the "Flower of Life". This plant was discovered by Zor Prime onthe Invid home world. The energy signature that this plant emitted prompted the scientist Zor to develop its potential. We will know discuss the impacts of how and what these flowers meant to human beings of the era in which mankind become entagled in the great galactic battle for Robotechnology.
